The Inception Workshop brought together key stakeholders to present the objectives, scope, and planned activities of the project "Further Support in the Implementation of Reforms in the Water Sector." Representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning (MoEPP), public utility companies, and sector institutions participated in discussions on water service, clustering, inter-municipal cooperation, and improvements to the water tariff methodology.
The workshop included presentations on the concept and benefits of clustering, and overview of three pilot areas, and international experiences with regionalisation. Participants also reviewed the current tariff-setting methodology and discussed proposed improvements. The event concluded with round table discussions on clustering in the pilot areas, followed by key conclusions and presentation of the next steps and the work plan for the planning and piloting phase.
