As part of the project “Further Support in the Implementation of Reforms in the Water Sector”, a meeting was organised to discuss findings from recent reports and to coordinate future steps regarding the tariff-setting methodology. Representatives from ADKOM, ERC, and MoEPP were invited; however, the session was attended by ERC representatives, who provided valuable input and guidance.
The meeting agenda included validation and discussion of findings from reports 3.1 and 3.5, focusing on the current tariff-setting methodology, implementation challenges, and the evaluation of the Tariff Adjustment Plan (TAP) for raw water suppliers. ERC representatives also shared insights on internal procedures for executing tariff applications, identified potential improvements, and coordinated directions for the upcoming activity of upgrading the tariff-setting methodology.
Topics addressed included possible revisions of the methodology for setting water services tariffs, amendments to legal provisions, and considerations for new tariff mechanisms in the context of clustering. The discussions provided constructive guidance for aligning future activities and ensuring that proposed improvements are both practical and effective.
